Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 9, 2026

This policy explains what AppMatic Tech LLP (“Oswalo,” “we,” “us”) collects when you use the Oswalo iOS app, why, and the choices you have. Oswalo is built to be private: a rehearsal is meant to be a private room, not a permanent file.

The short version

  • We collect the audio of your rehearsal and what's said in it, plus a little account and device data.
  • Your audio is processed by AI so the other side can be voiced and respond in real time.
  • We don't store the audio of your rehearsals — only a limited record of the outcome — and we don't build a profile of how you speak.
  • Oswalo gives no scores and no feedback.
  • We never sell your personal information or your voice.

1. Who we are

Oswalo is an iOS app for privately rehearsing difficult conversations out loud, operated by AppMatic Tech LLP. This policy covers the app and this website.

2. Information we collect

Your rehearsal audio and its content. When you rehearse, we process the audio you speak and a text version of it so the other side can respond. This is the heart of the service and is treated as sensitive.

Account and subscription data. If you create an account, basic details you provide. Your subscription status is handled through the App Store; we receive confirmation of your subscription, not your full payment details.

Device and usage data. Standard technical information such as device type, app version, and basic, privacy-respecting usage events that help us keep Oswalo working. See Analytics.

3. How we use it

We use your information to run a rehearsal — to voice the other side and respond in real time — to provide and maintain the app, to handle your subscription, to keep Oswalo secure and prevent abuse, and to answer you when you contact support. We do not use it to score you, and we do not build a profile of how you speak.

4. Your rehearsal audio and AI processing

To voice the other side of your conversation and respond as a realistic person would, Oswalo sends your rehearsal audio and its text to AI service providers that process it on our behalf. Processing happens so the app can respond to you in the moment.

We do not keep your rehearsals as a permanent record, and we do not build a voice profile of you. How long rehearsal content is retained is described in How long we keep it.

Your rehearsal audio is not used to train AI models. Oswalo uses OpenAI and ElevenLabs to process rehearsal audio in the moment, and under their API terms that content is not used to train their models.

5. When we share information

We share information only with service providers that help us run Oswalo, and only as needed. We list them here so you know who processes your data:

  • OpenAI and ElevenLabs — to voice the other side and generate spoken responses in real time.
  • Supabase — cloud hosting and storage for service data (based in the United States).
  • RevenueCat — to manage in-app subscriptions and purchases (alongside Apple's App Store).
  • OneSignal — to send push notifications.
  • Email — to respond to your support queries.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or as part of a business transfer. Each provider is bound to handle your data only for the purpose we've engaged them for.

6. Analytics

We use OneSignal to send push notifications, which includes basic delivery metrics. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking. You can turn off push notifications in your device settings at any time.

7. How long we keep it

We do not store the audio recordings of your rehearsals. We keep only a limited record of the rehearsal's outcome (its effect) so the app works as intended — never the audio itself.

Account and subscription records are kept for as long as your account is active and for up to 6 months after cancellation. Backups may persist for a short additional window before they cycle out.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because rehearsal content is retained only for a limited period, most of it is short-lived by default. To make a request, contact us at support@oswalo.com. We won't discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

[Region-specific rights — to be written. e.g. India DPDP grievance contact; GDPR legal bases, EU representative and transfer safeguards; CCPA/CPRA disclosures — per the regions Oswalo serves.]

9. We don't sell your data

We never sell your personal information or your voice to third parties, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

10. How we protect it

We use encryption in transit and reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, and we limit access to it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we can't promise absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to keep as little of it as the service needs.

11. Children

Oswalo is not directed to children. You must be at least 13 years old to use it, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

12. International users

Oswalo stores and processes data in the United States through our cloud provider (Supabase), and with the other providers listed above. If you use Oswalo from another country, your information may be processed in a location with different data-protection laws than your own. We take steps to protect it consistent with this policy.

13. Apple and the App Store

Subscriptions and purchases are handled by Apple through your Apple ID; Apple's own privacy policy applies to that. When you make an in-app purchase or request a refund through the App Store, some data about your usage may be shared with us so we can process it. We don't receive your full payment card details.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Oswalo evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Oswalo after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
